A little less mystery underground.

Sewer camera inspections

A repeat blockage raises questions that another description cannot always answer. Our camera inspection service offers a closer look at visible conditions inside the line.

Based in Somerset, WI. Serving both sides of the St. Croix.

NOTICE AND DESCRIBE

A closer look may be useful for

  • 01

A blockage that keeps returning in the same line.

  • 02

Questions about a visible root obstruction or pipe condition.

  • 03

Follow-up after a line has been cleared.

  • 04

Understanding an earlier inspection finding in the context of current symptoms.

Give the inspection a specific question

Start with what you want to understand. Has the same drain slowed after more than one cleaning? Did an earlier service identify roots? Are you trying to compare what the pipe looked like then with the problem today? A specific question makes the inspection request more useful than simply asking for a camera.

You can call us even if this is your first inspection. Explain what brought you here, which part of the property is affected and what work has already been done. We can discuss camera service without asking you to interpret pipe terminology or choose a repair before anyone has looked.

What the view can and cannot tell you

A camera can show visible internal conditions, including obstructions and signs of structural trouble. Its view depends on passage and visibility: a blocked line may need cleaning first, and standing water can hide the lower pipe surface. A camera also cannot show concealed conditions outside the pipe.

A clearer view supports a better conversation, rather than an automatic repair decision. Ask which part of the line was visible and how a finding relates to the problem you reported. If you have an older video or report, mention it when arranging service so that prior information can be part of the discussion.

Inspection questions in River Falls and nearby communities

River Falls publishes a water and sewer lateral inspection request form through its Building and Inspections department. Its guidance directs properties outside City limits to their township inspector for permit questions.

A municipal inspection requirement and a camera service request are separate questions. If your River Falls project involves either, tell us what you are trying to arrange and bring the City instructions into the conversation. For Hudson or Somerset properties, the same practical starting point applies: name the line, the current problem and your goal for looking inside it.

Questions about sewer camera inspections

More drain and sewer questions
Can a camera inspection find every pipe problem?

No. It shows visible conditions inside the accessible part of the pipe. Water, blockages and concealed exterior conditions can limit what it reveals.

Does the pipe need cleaning before inspection?

Sometimes. A blockage can prevent camera passage or a useful view. Describe the current drainage problem when you call so we can discuss the sequence.

Is a camera inspection useful after a repeat clog?

It can help investigate visible reasons a problem returns. Tell us how long the line worked after cleaning and which symptoms came back.

What should I ask about the findings?

Ask what was visible, which part of the line was inspected and how the findings relate to your original concern. Those questions help you understand the next decision.
